The Shenandoah County Chamber of Commerce is hosting Business After Hours Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cave Ridge Vineyard and Winery, 1476 Conicville Road, Mount Jackson.

Sip of summer

Shenandoah Caverns and Cave Ridge Vineyard present Perfect Pair: Sips of Summer on August 21 at the Caves at 261 Caverns Road, Quicksburg.

Guests can register for one of two wine tastings, which take place at 6 p.m. or 8 p.m. A pre-registration is neccessary.

The event includes three wine tasting stations as well as chef-prepared food pairs. Tickets are $ 90 per person and include a souvenir wine glass. Tickets that are limited are available online at https://tinyurl.com/4ur4chx4.

Work preparation workshop

A job preparation workshop will be held on August 24 at the Shenandoah County Department of Social Services, 494 N. Main St., Suite 200, Woodstock.

The workshop takes place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by the résumé help from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The workshop will be led by Kerri Lane Mariano, Chick-Fil-A Talent Director.

The training includes improving your job search, creating résumés, sample interviews, sharpening soft skills and tips on re-entering the world of work.

Crystel Lynn Smith, the coach and founder of Crystel Clear Business Strategies, and InnoVault in Winchester are hosting a pitch night on September 10th from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm for entrepreneurs who can come up with their business ideas but aren’t sure how or where to start.

A panel of business experts will answer questions about finance, patents, intellectual property, manufacturing, sales, marketing and investor acquisition.
