Fifteen design and style tasks by Vilnius Academy of Arts college students
“The formation of the immediate environment along with the material environment was driven in part by our fear or our desire to feel safe. It is our physical, material environment around us that helps to actively and passively maintain our identity. Our body is the direct bearer of “our identity”.
“The identity discussed in the research interacts with the physical protection of one’s own data and the neurotic desire of an individual to preserve the identity even though it is not really threatened. Our face has more authority today than ever before.
“By protecting the face, we protect identity. Design objects support the research’s conclusion that we are a society of faces, but my own face has become the main axis of creation.”

Focus by Emilija Dryžaitė
“Performative Identity Focus is the first Erasmus + visual youth exchange identity of its kind that enables participants to experience activities through direct interaction with design objects. This bachelor thesis becomes a guideline for future Erasmus + youth exchange projects, which shows the advantages of the content design and the quality of the project itself.
“The website design created as part of the Focus project becomes a reflection tool available for all projects, which enables the participants to express emotions and self-assess the activities they have overcome. This project is characterized by an international, funded youth event strategy, communication and visual identity. “.”

The invisible side of the sculpture by Emilis Jonaitis
“The huge production and use of plastic products has saturated ecosystems with various types of plastic waste, mostly made up of tiny, barely visible microplastics. For zooplankton, small plastic particles are indistinguishable from food and become part of their diet and thus end up in the food chain.
“The boundaries between the natural and the synthetic are inevitably blurring. The film illustrates current problems with plastic pollution and invites speculation about possible future results. The project was created in collaboration with Plastic Justice. “

You from Gretė Labanauskaitė
“The topic of the bachelor thesis was determined by the social exclusion of people with visual impairments. Theoretical research was devoted to the analysis of the expression of social values in the context of fashion. The aspects demonstrated the designer’s ability to deal with the functional limits of a close social group and defined the purpose of the work to create a clothing collection that puts the tactile way of knowing fashion into the foreground.
“The models were inspired by the Braille element, which is perceived by the main senses: touch, smell and hearing. Explanatory texts have been provided in formats accessible to the blind and visually impaired. The socially integrative fashion project is an encounter between two different worlds, sighted and blind, and proof that fashion can help people with visual impairments to integrate into society. “

Camp phenomenon from Ieva Tamutytė
“This master’s thesis explores the camp phenomenon and its expression in contemporary fashion. Camp is presented as a socially engaged cultural phenomenon subject to the zeitgeist, therefore the hypothesis is made that excessive camp aesthetics can retain their relevance in contemporary fashion by manifesting ecological ideas.
“The project shows how Camp’s positive handling of waste, combined with upcycling, can be transferred to fashion design. The result is a collection of experimental fashion objects made from waste, which depict camp properties only in fashion, but in the change in our perception of reuse and waste culture in general. “

Meeting with Kamilė Pakalniškytė
“Pažink is a set of educational tools for preschoolers. It is a research tool that was developed on the basis of experiential education because I believe that only through experience does a child gain knowledge of lasting value.
“This set of minimalist and aesthetic designs gives you the opportunity to get to know your surroundings up close with not all sensations. Since there are few educational activities with outdoor activities in kindergartens, I developed this project that is fun and rewarding outdoor activities . “

The bigger the better by Lukas Ivanavičius
“The theme of the collection thesis was determined by the long-term establishment of unisex, oversize styles in fashion. The clothing trends that became popular in the 1990s erased the differences between women’s and men’s clothing, evolved into visual body transformations in the 21st century.
“The collection focused on the manifestations of physical deformations, the prerequisites for which have become social and cultural changes since the 18th century. Rococo, power dressing, hip-hop styles collection and forms a new stylistic image of the silhouette. “

Life after life by Milda Pakarkltė
“Life after life is a project that questions the way we remember the deceased today. It is a set of two objects created with essential symbols for death and life after death: water, fire and tree The first is a reusable ice candle holder tray for memory in the cemetery. The ice candle holder is a more sustainable choice because ice simply melts and disappears into the ground.
“A second object is a special place to remember the dead at home. Due to the internal balance mechanism, the photo of the deceased only appears when the candle is lit. The photo slowly closes as the ice melts, leaving a limited amount of time to remember. The water drips down and makes a soothing sound. The tree drinks the water. “

Teletouristic system by Paulius Buragas
“The purpose of the teletourism system is to provide a way to travel for those who are unable to visit or visit hard-to-reach places due to physical disabilities, lack of resources or obligations. The system consists of a drone and a storage capsule and works autonomously.
“Media from the drone is streamed directly into personal virtual reality environments and the flight is controlled by shared autonomy. The capsule is mounted on a vertical surface so it is less vandal resistant, has a small footprint and is capable , to observe.” long distances from a stationary position. Several capsules can be stacked to form vertical columns. “

Remembering Urtė Vosyliūtė’s objects
“The PhD thesis Memory of items is about finding the roots of identity and identifying the style of personal work. The subject of the investigation is a set of personal items, the content of which is divided into groups to find the characteristics that make up the Connecting objects and immersing themselves in the emotions they create To cover a broader field of fashion design, the work is divided into three parts: a capsule clothing collection, an experimental fashion design object, and a commercial piece – a white t-shirt.
“The womenswear collection is based on a visual and associative analysis of personal items. The second part, an experimental design object, examines the importance of memory for the observation and evaluation of our environment. The experimental object is presented in video format, which shows the performative aspect of the action. The third part of the work is a commercial t-shirt that reveals a personal relationship between a person and their memories. “

Food experiences by Viktorija Stundytė
“Dishes serve as a link between the food and the eater, which has an impact on the sensory perception of food and eating behavior. The expression, which is reflected in the shape of tableware, both contributes to the sensory perception of food and creates space for learning – it coordinates eating behavior to encourage mindful eating and to focus on the choice and amount of food.
“This experience during the eating process involves not only the joys of eating, but also the search for further implications of eating that are part of a vision of a sustainable food system that begins with the table and the choice of what, how, and why we begin the series of design objects for the sensual perception of food consists of seven different types of tableware accessories – serving bowls for water, berries, vegetables, eggs, seafood, meat and desserts. “
