MediaCo appoints government workforce to guide strategic realignment and innovation

MediaCo Holding Inc., owner of HOT 97, WBLS and Fairway Outdoor, today announced that Rahsan-Rahsan Lindsay has been appointed Chief Executive Officer effective July 1, 2021. Mr. Lindsay was most recently Executive Vice President of Urban One. He brings over twenty years of successful leadership experience in media, television and advertising to MediaCo. As CEO, Lindsay will be responsible for setting the overall strategic vision of MediaCo and expanding its radio and outdoor departments with a focus on transforming the digital business.

Lindsay has been with Urban One, Inc. for the past nine years, overseeing advertising sales, integrated marketing and distribution activities for TV One and the sister network CLEO TV, which he launched in 2019. In 2020, he assumed the role of Head of iOne Digital Ad Sales and One Solution, Urban One’s cross-platform marketing group, and One X Studios, Urban One’s branded content production arm. Prior to joining TV One in 2011, Lindsay spent nearly eight years in advertising sales for Viacom Media Networks, focusing on developing new businesses for MTV, Comedy Central, Spike, CMT and TV Land. He was also VP of Ad Sales for MTV2, mtvU and Palladia.

Passionate about the community and nurturing the next generation of leaders, Lindsay co-chairs the board of directors of The Brotherhood / Sister Sol, a Harlem-based nonprofit, in his spare time.

MediaCo’s newly formed senior management team is ready to drive future success. It consists of capable leaders with a cooperative spirit and a necessary focus on future strategies. Bradford Tobin was also recently named President and Chief Operating Officer as part of MediaCo’s strategic realignment.

Prior to joining MediaCo in August 2020, Tobin served as General Counsel / Chief Compliance Officer for Standard Diversified Inc. and General Counsel / SVP for RadioShack, where he had a proven track record in building and managing high-growth sales organizations. In his current position, Tobin leads the business operations for MediaCo, including rapidly scaling digital capabilities and aligning the company’s innovation engine.
