(NASDAQ: RESN), a provider of radio frequency filter solutions built on a robust intellectual property platform to connect people and things, today announced WaveX ™, Resonants updated finite element modeling (FEM) software platform for designing RF filters.
WaveX ™ is the updated version of Resonants legacy design software for Infinite Synthesized Networks (ISN®). The new platform offers full 3D simulation capabilities for finite element modeling to design RF filters and uses a hybrid, multi-cloud, GPU-powered implementation with large memory.

Resonant creates designs for difficult RF frequency bands and modules that meet demanding and complex 5G, Wi-Fi and UWB RF front-end requirements. With WaveX ™, Resonant’s designs have the potential to be developed in half the time and manufactured more cheaply than traditional approaches. WaveX ™ is a suite of proprietary algorithms, software design tools, and network synthesis techniques that enable Resonant to explore a much wider range of possible design solutions.
Resonant provides its customers with quick design simulations which they can produce in their own factories or have one of Resonant’s foundry partners produce. These improved solutions still use Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) or Temperature Compensated Surface Acoustic Wave (TC-SAW) technologies with the performance of more expensive manufacturing processes such as Bulk Acoustic Wave (BAW).
Resonant’s WaveX ™ provides excellent predictability and enables desired product performance to be achieved in about half the number of revolutions through the factory.
