HOUSTON – (BUSINESS WIRE) – MIAT College of Technology and Mnemonic Agency recently received a Gold Telly 2021 Award in the Local TV General-Schools / Colleges / Universities category for their joint development of the MIAT marketing video, “Climb Above the Cubicle ” Receive. The video promoted MIAT’s wind power engineering program.
MIAT has locations in Houston and Canton, Michigan, near Detroit. MIAT uses the video for marketing and public relations, recruitment, job fairs and community relations purposes. A link to the video is available at https://vimeo.com/454412550.
Sehban Zaidi, Creative Director at Mnemonic Agency, worked closely with MIAT College of Technology Houston President John Willis, his faculty, staff, students and alumni last year to produce the video Climb Above the Cubicle. Aaron Long, senior marketing consultant and founder of the marketing and graphic design firm Longstation, led the project from start to finish. Since summer 2020, the video has been broadcast extensively via Comcast, AT&T U-verse and Direct TV on numerous television channels such as ESPN, ID, MTV, TBS, TNT and many others. It was also viewed and shared extensively via MIAT’s social media platforms, digital marketing campaigns, the MIAT.edu website, and the MIAT YouTube channel.
Willis credits Climb Above the Cubicle for enabling MIAT to effectively deliver both locations, MIAT programs and positive outcomes for students, their families, employers and the communities in which they will live and work after graduation present. The key message of this award-winning video is that students can count on MIAT as a proven professional education provider that will have a profound, positive impact on themselves and their family members over many generations.
MIAT offers certificate and associate degree programs in wind technology as well as aerospace maintenance, power engineering, HVACR (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration), robotics, welding and non-destructive testing.
“MIAT faculty and staff encourage our students to take their lives and future into their own hands by envisioning careers beyond the walls of the cubicle,” said Willis. “I am very grateful to Sehban and Aaron for working with me and other MIAT team members to produce this award-winning video. Our goal for this project was to create “something different” that would appeal to the students and underscore the core vision of our university. ”
Zaidi shared this perspective of the project: “MIAT was a pioneer in terms of new creative horizons and Mnemonic Agency is so proud to help bring the vision to life. The Climb Above the Cubicle campaign brought untold stories to the wind technician’s marketing space, and MIAT and Mnemonic worked together to develop effective creatives that sparked the imaginations of the next generation of America’s workforce. Awards mean more when you win them on a project that serves the community and advances our industries. MIAT’s Wind Engineer Program is a wonderful opportunity for Houston employees and a mainstay of the local economy. It’s really moving to develop award-winning creatives to serve such a worthy initiative. ”
