Voice of OC debuts new web site design with deal with velocity and optimum studying expertise

Voice of OC today launches a new website design that continues to focus on delivering real-time news to readers in a fast-loading, distraction-free page experience.

The new design is based on Newspack – a system that was developed by the developers of WordPress.com exclusively for the provision of exemplary news websites.

The all-in-one platform also launches a Voice of OC movement on AMP HTML web pages (short for accelerated mobile web pages). This new technology developed by Google keeps web pages free from bloated code in order to load web pages faster.

As Voice of OC’s articles activate AMP across the site, they will continue to include design features and outstanding digital storytelling such as interactive maps and animated infographics. While many websites leave out important features on AMP, Voice of OC will continue to be a rich reading experience.

“We continue to focus on putting our readers first in this new website design. Everything here is efficient and built for the direct purpose of delivering high quality, real-time citizen news for the Orange County community. “

Voice of OC Editor and Editor-in-Chief Norberto Santana, Jr.

Voice of OC joins more than 50 news sites that moved to Newspack in their first year, including 130-year-old Bangor Daily News and The Oaklandside, a Bay Area startup.
